Build the Backbone of the Student Voice

    What's the big idea?

Course Reps are the backbone of our student voice system. Historically, our course reps have been struggling to represent their cohort due to lack of proper training when they get elected, lack of communication support throughout the year, no incentives. However, in the 20/21 academic year, our student voice team developed an inclusive course rep guide and a training programme. The big idea is to recruit course reps for every course, provide training, organise monthly course rep forums, launch an incentive program.

    How will it benefit students?

If we can successfully run this project, around 1200 course reps will gain leadership skills, time management skills, public speaking skills, and so many more. The key focus for this project is to make our course reps known to their cohort and everyone.
