Part-time Officers

These elected student leaders volunteer part-time alongside their studies to represent students’ views in their specific remits. They're divided into Liberation roles, Student Experience roles and Student Forum Chair roles.

Represents BAME students and encourages the participation of BAME students in the Union.

Ruchika Kumar

Chair of Union Council

The Chair of Union Council volunteers alongside their studies to ensure the smooth running of the Union Council in accordance with the Constitution. Union Council is a group that meets to discuss and represent the views of students. Details of Union Council can be found in Regulation E of the Constitution. The Chair of the Union Council does not have the power to vote at Union Council.

Raising and Giving (RAG) Team Chair

The RAG Team is a group of volunteer students who aim to promote and extend participation of students in charity fundraising activities. The RAG Team Chair is a voluntary role to chair these meetings approximately once per month.

Course Representatives Forum Chair

The Course Representatives Forum and the Education Forum are meetings between Union Council and selected School Representatives to discuss issues being raised by course reps. The Course Representatives Forum Chair is a voluntary role to chair both of these meetings which each happen twice per semester.
