The Students' Union provides free, confidential and impartial advice and information to empower LSBU students. We provide a professional and friendly environment for you to talk during any difficult times you may face as a student and our staff can help and give advice on a range of academic issues including:

  • Academic Appeals

  • Fitness to Practice
  • Disciplinary procedures
  • Academic Misconduct


Update on COVID-19

Please make sure you are checking the University's website My LSBU and your student email regularly for updates on COVID-19. This is an evolving situation and things might change at short notice.

The Students' Union Advice Service is currently working remotely and therefore limiting it's operations to telephone appointments and email advice. We have cancelled our weekly Wednesday drop-in sessions until further notice (Updated 25 March 2020, 15:57).

How to get Advice?

 Please note that the advice service can be contacted by email only: 

Telephone appointments and email advice will continue to be available as normal


We are an appointment-based service, therefore, you normally need to arrange a time to speak with us in advance. You can either give us a call or come to visit us in person to book an appointment.

You can also complete our advice registration form to get advice via email, phone or to request an appointment. We offer both in-person and telephone appointments.
